...because there were some again this year, though much fewer, and less elaborately done (it takes a large group of people to decorate some of the biggest wells), but still with much love and care, and in some cases wit, so I can share the results, and wish peaceful holidays to everyone celebrating.
To start with Good Friday morning again, when we got up early to watch the sunrise over Bamberg and its castle:
This is the well at Heiligenstadt. Even in the small scale version, observe that each egg is hand painted. And has a theme, to wit: birds!
Then there was this one, present again this year and accounted for:
Whereas this one's easter hares were the most adorable:
My APs favourite offered no free eggs this year, but good wishes and loving details:

Here I love the masked Easter lamb:
But the one at Beringersmühle was best. It payed homage to all the Covid-19 damaged institutions and industries, some of which open again, some not - hairdressers, schools, gastronomy.
