This year's Frankfurt Book Fair changed several things in the layout, and in the security measures. Where in the past, only Hall 8, where the English-speaking publishers plus the Israelis used to be, had handbag-searching at their entrance, this year all bags get searched at the general entrance. Fascinating report as always. I do enjoy your reports from book fairs, particularly Frankfurt. Good for Donna Leon, whose books I've always enjoyed. I simply cannot understand why people are so dismissive of Hillary Clinton's years of experience. There was an article in The Times this morning calling it misogyny and I'm forced to believe it.

I shall look out for Ian Kershaw's book if he's not going to test my boredom threshold :)

I already have Mary Beard's book though haven't read it yet. J was lucky enough to go to a talk she gave and was hugely impressed. Talking about misogyny the amount she had to put up with for daring to appear on TV with grey hair was horrendous.
