Streaks of Silver

It always takes Lena time to come down from being Selena, and there are some things that just won't go away, and are a permanent marker.

The fangs and claws are pretty much controllable, extending whenever Lena wants. The eyes are more difficult, turning pure silver with a black pupil, when in her vampiric form, fondly called the McVee's Vampy Meal. With extra vampy, if you piss her off. Peering into the mirror, Lena sighs with relief, as they're back to being their ordinary brown. Skin's still pale as ever, but that's normal. Even before the vampire thing kicked in she was pale, just like her mother. They both sunburn really easily, anyway.

But the most obvious thing is still there, and it's the thing that bugs Lena most of all.

Her hair is streaked through with silver.

It's not as big a problem with Endy, as gold is more flattering, and he never really goes as deep into his form as Selena does. He rarely fights physically, having a greater mental control than Lena - why use claws when you can stop someone in their tracks with a thought? Lena's always been jealous of him like that - he's had an extra year of practice, at least. He's going to be the one to train Tasha. All they need now is someone to teach weapons other than knives, and they're all set with her.

She wanders around the apartment, knowing that she doesn't have any hair-dye in the place. It was one of her few luxuries, but with Tasha here... that went out the window, of course. Lena and Endy are already having to swap between the couch and the glorified closet, as Tasha has the proper bedroom. Endy was such a gentleman, just smiling as Lena reminded him after the battle that it was her turn for the couch that night... even as she wandered to the closet.

She sighs, collapsing on said couch, reaching for the remote, and turns on the TV. All there is is snow.

"Fudgedoodles."

((Anyone wanting to pop by can do so - not like Lena and mun have anything better to do.))
