Yesterday was haiku day here in the U.S. In honor of this, I worked on a few haiku for your enjoyment. For those of you who do not know, a haiku is a Japanese form of poetry which has three lines in its stanza. The first line has five syllables. The second line has seven syllables and the third has five syllables. The poem is also suppose to invoke an image or an emotion with out coming out and directly stating any "emotion" words such as "grumpy" or "comfortable".

My poems today are based on a bit on frustration. Those of you who work with me, or have ever worked retail ever know this time of year is probably the most stressful time of the year. For those of you who don't, it's a little like when your boss tells you to do five really  large projects and wants them all done in an hour and that's what we walk in to every day. This was basically a great way for me to vent and do it creatively.

So enjoy. Don't be surprised if I come back with more. Please leave a comment if you like one and even if you don't feel free to leave a comment. Or even, if you come up with your own haiku, leave it! I would love to read it!

God bless,
S.
