my site.
it only took about 2 weeks, which is about what I expected. watching the stats is fun, even though my stats are so microscopically small that there barely are any. it allows me to learn about the stats slowly instead of trying to catch up with runaway numbers. i got my first hit from germany, which has a HUGE dub contingent, so hopefully whoever it was will start getting the URL out into the wild.
SEO-wise, I am fucking pissed st DUB the car magazine for confusing the search results by naming themselves after a type of music. i know the name refers to 20" rims, but it just makes me mad that now the search results are skewed because of it. The other term that pops up in the results is DUB as the three letter designation for the Dublin airport in Ireland.
so now I have to add the rest of the shows to the site. then the adsense or whatever. then i'll prolly print up a bunch of small stickers with the URL and stick them places that matter. my search strategy is to have people know the URL and look for it directly...there is no way i could compete with the folks who have a lock on the general terms: dub download free reggae...i'll always be a zillion pages down in the results, which is to be expected.
there is absolutely no rush or pressure with this project because it is all just to learn really.
