Here is a direct copy of what Augusta says on The Masters website regarding tickets to the big show:
" Tournament Tickets
Tournament or "Series" Badges (Thursday through Sunday) have been sold to those on our patron list which was closed due to demand in 1972. A waiting list began in 1972, and was closed in 1978. It reopened in 2000, and it too is now closed. No applications for "Series" Badges are currently being accepted. "
In other words SCREW YOU hahahaha.
Even getting practice round tix is a pain in the ass:
" Practice Rounds
Tickets for the 2009 Masters are sold out.
Practice Round tickets are limited and sold in advance by application only. Applicants are allocated tickets on a random selection basis. 2010 Practice Rounds applications will be mailed in June, after the 2009 Tournament. Those people who applied in 2008 and/or 2009 will automatically receive an application for 2010 tickets. The deadline for 2010 applications is July 15, 2009. Successful applicants will be notified in September. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
If you are not on the Practice Rounds mailing list and would like to be added for 2010, please send your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address no later than May 1, 2009 to:

My boss says he went to a practice round one year and it was wicked. The atmosphere is apparently way light...maybe some drinking going on between holes by the heavy hitters, who knows? He said that once you are inside Augusta National, any kind of official Masters apparel is ridiculously expensive, but food and drinks available to the gallery are priced like it is the 1960s.
Of course you can get 2 Sunday tournament Badges on e-bay for (currently at $710 for the pair) via
this sketchy listing. I like the part about how the tix are not in hand and have to be picked up 1/2 mile from the course...uh, yeah right.
This year will prolly be a let down anyway after the ridiculously good Rocco vs Tiger slugfest that went thru monday last year.
