To me, it is never a good thing when a company merges with another company that has an uglier logo. That's whats happening to my bank.

You may have, in the past, seen some Wells Fargo logos that incorporate imagery from their long and illustrious past such as...
or
I dunno, I like the Wachovia stripey thing waaaay better. Wells Fargo may be a strong company these days, but the name conjures imagery of stagecoach holdups and armored car heists. When I think of Wachovia, I think of the bank itself stealing from customers via sophosticated software that creates overdrafts for people who run close to the zero in their account, hidden fees, and bizarre unpredictable timing for when things may show up or disappear from your account. Hmmm, come to think of it, I'd almost prefer a good old fashioned hold up, which at least happens in real time to real money, instead in imaginary timespace to vapor money.
I'm curious to see what is going to happen to the logo as thye banks complete the merger. Will Wachovias cool little stripey things simply get swallowed up? That would suck. Maybe they wiill paint the stripey things on the side of a stagecoach and use that as the logo. Maybe my bank tellers will switch from being young ladies to burly dudes in 10 gallons and spurs.
We will see.
