Caught the first stage of the Tour De Georgia via the LIVE feed on the ol intertron today. Honestly I think it was an exciting stage...the speeds were SO high due to the flat terrain, lack of wind, and perfect temperature. I've seen enough bicycle racing to be able to tell when the pace is up. Thursday I go to Road Atlanta to catch the Team Time Trial stage, so you can expect a full i-Report on that. Wednesday evening the stage finishes in Gainesville, I am pretty sure at the same place where the criterium I went to a few weeks ago was. Theres no reason to not go check that out.
Nothing else happened today except schooltron and such. Did a bunch of schoolwork, then worked on my final project/site some more. Had a fight with some javascript, which I eventually won by beating it across the face with a board full of nails until it was a bloody sickening mess. I don't like to lose to very elementary level code, and I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight if I wouldn't have worked it out. I get a little obsessed with high productivity. My time management for school related stuff is way on point.
Stopped by the library to grab some new reading material. While I was there, I looked through some childrens books that were on sale for $1. Childrens books are neato (my friend just
put one out), but I am not going to be hanging out at Barnes and Noble checking them out so I can be mistaken for a pedo or something, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to browse them since they were in the lobby. While I was looking at them, I started thinking I should pick one up and repurpose it...you know, keep the illustrations, but make my own story up and just paste my material over top of the real words...inna smarmity smarm stylee. There was this one about some kid dressing up as a vampire that easily could have been turned into a young persons primer on how to go goth. To complete the package, I'd have to get it back into the library and back onto the shelf after the rework.
But then I remembered I have a zillion other projects to do so I opted out.
