I'm curious to see how things go tuesday for my CDL written test at the
DMV. Not so much about the written test portion, but moreso the eye
test portioin. The last time I replaced my license was in August of
2002, at which point I had no trouble with the eye biz. But I was
poking around the DMV web site and found out that I -may- be tested for
each individual eyes acuity before the written exam instead of them
just testing my binocular vision as I thought they would. Everything
may come to a screeching halt at that point.
I am going to make an appointment for the eye specialist on
monday, so no matter what, I will be going to see the eye doc again, to
find out exactly what I need to do to get this whole process going.
I didn't think I would hit a roadblock involving the eye issue until
the required federal D.O.T. physical exam. I was hoping I could beat
that test by memorizing the eye chart, but I won't be able to memorize
the chart at the dmv when I go for the written test because its
different than the standard Snellen charts I have been able to look up
online.
You know, I have expressed at various times in my life that I am cursed
with bad luck, and here is yet another example. We'll find out
tuesday...
