(no subject)
Yay, I got a lot done today. It took a while with all the interruptions but I got the floors mopped and the bathrooms clean. I also bleached the bathroom ceiling. We have mold issues on the north coast. Today I moved one of the bird cages to clean it and the wall behind it was visibly wet. I would like to clean the carpet before Thursday but I'm afraid it won't dry and I will have mold in the carpet. I could do it on a sunny day, turn on the heat and the ceiling fan. Maybe if I just do one room it might work.
JD's room is also a crisis. I don't even want to go in there. He used to have toys every where but now it is junk and cords and wires for all his computer connections. Oh well I'm glad it isn't something worse.
Tomorrow a friend is coming over to let me help her hem up some pants. It will be fun to see her. She used to work with me but took a job at a Waldorf type of preschool. She is totally out of her element there so it will be fun to hear the stories. It is a very different style of learning that what we were trained to do.
I got to watch The Big Bang Theory with D tonight. We both cracked up. I don't know why but we both find that show so hilarious. One guy knows that he and his peers are total nerds and works hard to look "normal", one guy thinks he is hot stuff, one guy won't speak to girls, one guy is so far out of every one's league as far as being a genius he doesn't even attempt to understand social expectations. The girl next door is as you would expect beautiful and not too bright. Lot's of funny lines. Intellectual humor.
