Well, because I worked yesterday that added 5 hours to my paycheck. Yay. We had a meltdown though. One 13 mo. old thought one of the other parents was her mother. I know it sounds unbelievable but it is not the first time I've seen this. Who can say what markers a young child uses to identify familiar people. Anyway little H just screamed and tried to get this woman to take her and she was very upset that the woman was holding another child. Last year we had another little girl who was younger who got her mom mixed up with another parent. We ended up asking the other parent to call ahead before coming so we could avoid the confusion. I just kept thinking about what kind of trauma the poor child was feeling and when the other parent left the poor child was inconsolable for a while.

Went to my daughters house last night. JP came over so just the two of us went. JD stayed home with dad. It was nice to see her but she looks lonely. She said she and her bf are on different work schedules. Mostly though she looks like she's doing OK. We laughed and joked for a while. Watched some Survivor Man and ate some strawberry cream pie.

I told them it reminded me of when we 3 used to spend evenings together while their dad was at work and before JD was born. S and JP were 11 and 9 when JD arrived in our family. Wow, that seems like a lifetime ago.
