Below is a list of my favorite episodes from Season Four of "OUTLANDER", STARZ's adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's 1996 novel, "Drums of Autumn". Developed by Ronald D. Moore, the series stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan:
FIVE FAVORITE EPISODES OF "OUTLANDER" SEASON FOUR (2018-2019)
1. (4.07) "Down the Rabbit Hole" - Brianna Randall follows in her mother time traveler Claire Randall Fraser's footsteps and travels through the stones back in time to 18th century Scotland, where she struggles to make her way to the American colonies to find her parents.
2. (4.13) "Man of Worth" - In the season finale, the attempt to rescue Briana's time traveling love, Roger MacKenzie, from his Mohawk captors goes awry when a ghost from Claire's past lays waste to their plan. Meanwhile, a heavily pregnant Brianna anxiously awaits their return at her great-aunt Jocasta Cameron's North Carolina plantation, River Run.
3. (4.05) "Savages" - Claire's medical expertise proves invaluable, but she begins to fear for her life when tragedy strikes the household of her patients, the Muellers. Her husband Jamie Fraser and his nephew Young Ian Murray travel to a nearby town to recruit settlers for his recently purchased property, Fraser's Ridge.
4. (4.11) "If Not for Hope" - Jamie, Claire and Young Ian embark on a long and uncertain journey to rescue Roger, while Brianna forges a friendship with one of Jamie's old friends, Lord John Grey.
5. (4.09) "The Birds and the Bees" - While Brianna struggles to deal with the trauma she had suffered in Wilmington, she finally reunites with Claire and meets her biological father Jamie for the first time. Meanwhile, Roger is forced to join pirate Stephen Bonnet's crew before returning to Wilmington.
