Below is my ranking of the Season Two episodes from the BBC series, "THE HOUR". Created by Abi Morgan, the series starred Ben Whishaw, Romola Garai and Dominic West:
"THE HOUR" SEASON TWO (2012) EPISODE RANKINGS
1. (2.06) "Episode 6" - In the series finale, the police raid the El Paradis club and arrest news presenter Hector Madden for an alleged attack upon showgirl Kiki Delaine, for which he had been previously arrested for and cleared. Fellow news correspondent Frederick "Freddie" Lyon manages to convince Kiki to testify against the club's blackmail ring.
2. (2.02) "Episode 2" - Hector's wife, Marnie Madden, gets a job as a television chef. He endures his first arrest for assaulting Kiki. Producer Isabel "Bel" Rowley first stumbles across the El Paradis Club's blackmailing ring. Freddie confronts racial controversy by hosting a discussing between Nigerian immigrant Dr. Sey Ola and an adolescent with fascist leanings.
3. (2.05) "Episode 5" - Marnie becomes a television success and convinces Hector to accept a job at ITV as a sop to his infidelity. Bel discovers that her source, an El Paradiso showgirl named Rosa Maria, has been killed. And Freddie confronts Police Commander Laurence Stern about his connection to the club.
4. (2.01) "Episode 1" - In the season premiere, Bel resumes her old job as producer of "The Hour" and meets the new boss, Randall Brown. The latter had a wartime affair with journalist Lix Storm. Freddie returns to London with a new French bride. And Hector continues to cheat on Marnie with nocturnal trips to places like the El Paradiso Club.
5. (2.04) "Episode 4" - Hector tries to convince Stern, an old school friend, to blow the whistle on El Paradiso Club's owner, Raphael Cilenti. Bel, Freddy and "The Hour" staff fear that Cilenti may have gotten to Rosa Maria. Lix and Randall discover they have a nineteen year-old daughter living in France as someone else's adopted child.
6. (2.03) "Episode 3" - Freddie follows Kiki from the El Paradiso Club and confronts her on whether she is having an affair with Stern. He also suspects that Stern might be in Cilenti's back pocket and informs Hector, who refuses to believe it.
