Below is my ranking of the Season Three episodes of the Amazon Prime series, "THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL". Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the series stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel:
"THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL" SEASON THREE (2019) EPISODE RANKING
1. (3.08) "A Jewish Girl Walks Into the Apollo . . ." - Divorced housewife/comedienne Miriam "Midge" Maisel asks her ex-father-in-law Moishe Maisel for a favor and later, learns a hard show business lesson. Her ex-husband Joel Maisel readies his new nightclub for its grand opening. Midge's manager Susie Myerson suffers a financial loss and turns to an unexpected source for help.
2. (3.06) "Kind of Bleu" - Midge's parents, Abe and Rose Weissman, find respite from Queens and the Maisels, while visiting her in Miami, during her tour with singer Shy Baldwin. Joel and his new girlfriend, Mei Lin, squabble over a liquor license for his club's bar. Midge helps Shy out of a scrape.
3. (3.01) "Strike Up the Band" - Midge performs at a USO Christmas show ahead of touring with Shy. Meanwhile, Susie learns the ins and outs of contract negotiation. Abe and Rose grapple with their new financial situation.
4. (3.04) "Hands" - Joel visits Midge in Vegas, during her tour with Shy. Rose and Abe struggle as they adjust to their new life with the Maisels. Susie scores a big win for her new client.
5. (3.03) "Panty Pose" - Rose and Abe move into less than desirable new digs. Midge struggles with her act as Shy's tour kicks off. Joel and Mei spark a connection.
6. (3.07) "Marvelous Radio" - When Shy's tour is interrupted due to his wounds, Midge and Susie head back to New York City and hustle for work. Abe is elated when someone publishes a piece he wrote. Susie's gambling addiction gets worse. The Broadway debut of Midge's nemesis and Susie's new client, Sophie Lemon, ends in disaster. And The Maisels gather for the bris of Midge's newborn nephew.
7. (3.02) "It's the Sixties, Man!" - Midge struggles with Susie taking on Sophie Lemon as client. Joel meets a Mei for the first time and finds her frustrating and intriguing. Abe initiates a new project with a group of young beatniks. Midge and Joel deal with their divorce.
8. (3.05) "It's Comedy or Cabbage" - Midge runs into old friend Lenny Bruce in Miami. Abe grows frustrated with his beatnik friends, while Rose reaches her breaking point with Joel's mother, Shirley Maisel.
