Ranking of "SANDITON" Season One (2019) Episodes
Below is my ranking of the Season One episodes from "SANDITON", the ITV adaptation of Jane Austen's unfinished novel. Adapted by Andrew Davies, the limited series starred Rose Williams, Crystal Clarke and Theo James:
RANKING OF "SANDITON" SEASON ONE (2019) EPISODES
1. (1.05) "Episode 5" - Tensions between the Sanditon resort creator Tom Parker and his laborers erupt during the Sanditon cricket match. Tom's guest and younger brother, Charlotte Heywood and Sidney Parker continue to clash, resulting in Sidney's ward, Miss Georgiana Lambe in terrible danger.
2. (1.02) "Episode 2" - Following their initial hostile encounter in the previous episode, Charlotte and Sidney clash again. Tensions surround Georgiana's arrival in Sanditon.
3. (1.06) "Episode 6" - Both Charlotte and Sidney arrive in London to find the abducted Georgiana. They begin to view each other in a new light. Tom's benefactress, Lady Denham, falls gravely ill.
4. (1.04) "Episode 4" - The arrival of Otis Molyneux, Georgiana's forbidden love, causes Charlotte to question her opinion of Sidney. Meanwhile, Lady Denham's poor relation, Clara Brereton, witnesses a moment between Lady Denham's nephew by marriage, Sir Edward Denham and his stepsister, Esther Denham.
5. (1.01) "Episode 1" - A chance accident leads Tom and his wife Mary Parker to invite Charlotte to the former's seaside resort at Sanditon.
6. (1.07) "Episode 7" - As the Sanditon summer regatta approaches, Sidney wrestles with his feelings towards old flame Eliza Campion. Builder young James Stringer reveals his true feelings to Charlotte. With Lady Denham at death's door, the tensions between Edward, Clara and Esther finally come to a head - with surprising consequences.
7. (1.08) "Episode 8" - Romantic interests are finally resolved during the night of the Midsummer Ball, romantic interests are finally resolved. The fate of Sanditon is at stake when events conspire to leave Charlotte and the Parker family facing impossible choices.
8. (1.03) "Episode 3" - Charlotte sets out to avoid Sidney, until a serious accident forces them together, and to reappraise each other. When Tom brings a new doctor to the town, he and Lady Denham clash; while Clara makes a bold move in her bid to outplay Edward and Esther.
