Ranking of "JACK RYAN" Season Two (2019) Episodes
Below is my ranking of the Season Two episodes of the Amazon Prime series, "JACK RYAN". Based upon characters created by Tom Clancy, and created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland; the series stars John Krasinski in the title role:
RANKING OF "JACK RYAN" SEASON TWO (2019) EPISODES
1. (2.03) "Orinoco" - The U.S. Special Activities team lands in Venezuela where C.I.A. Analyst Jack Ryan's intelligence leads them to a militia guarded compound. Deep in the jungle, Jack's search for answers endangers the team. President Nicolás Reyes' opponent, Gloria Bonalde, proves to be a real contender in the upcoming election.
2. (2.08) "Strongman" - In this season finale, Jack heads to the Presidential Palace to retrieve his captured colleague, former boss Jim Greer. After the voting polls are shut down, violent protests erupt outside the presidential palace.
3. (2.05) "Blue Gold" - Using Max Schenkel's daughter as bait, Jack and German intelligence operative Harriet "Harry" Baumann convince the contract killer to meet face to face. Stranded in the jungle, one of the Special Activities team members, Marcus Bishop, stumbles across a prisoner camp. Greer visits Bonalde, hoping to draw a connection between President Reyes and her missing husband.
4. - "Cargo" - Jack investigates Venezuela's transactions with various World Powers in the season premiere. Before he can get sidelined from his new post in Russia, Greer joins Jack in Venezuela and the two find themselves in the midst of President Reyes' re-election effort.
5. (2.07) "Dios y Federación - The date for Venezuela's presidential election is moved up. Stranded in a hostile country, Jack and C.I.A. station chief Mike November fight for their lives, while Greer is interrogated. The Ubarri family must decide to flee or face Reyes.
6. (2.06) "Persona Non Grata" - President Reyes accuses the U.S. of tampering with the election. The U.S. Embassy is evacuated. Jack, Greer and November must decide whether to follow orders or go off the grid. Reyes' men pursue Special Activities team leader Matice and his team in the jungle.
7. (2.04) "Dressed to Kill" - Relieved of duty in Venezuela, Jack follows a new trail to London and seeks the help of MI5. He eventually discovers that the man he is pursuing, is also hunting him. Back in Venezuela, Reyes makes Gloria an offer.
8. (2.02) "Tertia Optio" - U.S. Senator Chapin allows Jack to remain in Venezuela. President Reyes denies involvement in the events that Jack is investigating. Meanwhile, Jack and "Harry" team up to follow a lead that could create dissension within the ranks.
