doesn't really seem as truthful
when it's weeks between your sober appearances

and

"I love you" is a little dubious
when you can't even see that I am
still beneath your body and
thinking about my homework.

so while I'm wondering if you will
still listen to the records I gave you
and if you ripped down my picture
like I ripped down yours

and

if you threw them away
or if you just hid them.
and if you miss me like I miss you
I can't help but be a little bit relieved.
