I thought about it some more through the night, and realized that I'd pretty much already made the decision, so there was no real reason to wait until tomorrow. Kyle's telling his boss today that I'll take the job, and I guess I've technically already started. I figure they'll take my one day last week and whatever I work this week and make that my first official cheque on payroll. Then I'll possibly start on days on Monday. Either that, or I'll do another week of nights and start up the following Monday. That depends on when they get a new machine installed.
Now comes the logistics of getting my stuff from one B-Town to the other. I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish this week up Thursday morning to go to Brampton to pack up some stuff and get some more clothes, since all I have here is a single bag's worth. Eventually, once the room I'll be in here is cleared out a bit more, I'll be able to bring my desk(s) and bookcase.
I'm also hoping that, since I'm going to be working 10 hour days (since my schedule depends on Kyle's, as there's no transit near their house), I'll be able to have a few Fridays off during the summer at least, so I can still keep my plans and not have to cut weekend time with Mel short.
I don't know how long I'm going to stay with this job, and I am definitely going to continue exploring opportunities that are more what I want to do long-term. But for now, I think this is going to be good.
