(no subject)
Hey guys, I haven't done a post in a while...
I haven't been up to much. Some depressing stuff's been going on with my family, but I'll not go into that. As for me, I need a job. I applied at Gamestop, but didn't get a reply. I'm not sure I can apply elsewhere though, because of my lack of car or driving license and the fact that my family only has one car right now. How can I get to a job even if I had one? Sigh.
Also, I couldn't apply for my teaching certification until FSU posted my degree on my transcript, since they provided me with no other proof that I actually graduated. I graduated last month on the 7th, my degree was posted today. I currently can't apply for my certification because I don't have the money for the test. So I guess I have to wait until I have the funds, then get on that. Once the transportation thing gets sorted out I'm going to send applications out to everywhere.
I've been working on my writing a bit, so far I've written 18 590 words on my new novel. I'm shooting for at least 50 000, which should be over 100 pages. I think that if I follow my plan, I should go well over that goal, so yay! Meanwhile, this book is the first in a series and I'm trying to plan out how the other books should go. Maybe I'll do a more detailed post about that soon.
Unfortunately, all this focusing on my novel has caused me to put EvilFTW on the back burner. I don't like that. I need to try harder to make sure both projects get enough attention.
Also, as usual, I've been drawing! Below the cut is a few new fanarts I've done.
Real quick, lemmie say: I'm taking commissions right now! I've only done one so far, and I really need the money, so if you'd like me to draw you something, direct yourself to this DA journal for the info. It says $15 for one character-- I'll also do two characters for $20!

People ask for this pairing at conventions a lot and I don't know why I hadn't drawn it before. I kinda also wanna do a Chibitalia/Holy Roman Empire drawing sometime, but I've been having trouble with that so eh.
Soul Eater! This is another thing that people keep asking for at cons, and again I don't know why I'd never done fanart for it before. I love this series to death! I need to do some more art of Kid, and maybe some stuff of Stein. Oh, Stein~ <3 <3
This is one that I sketched and scanned ages ago and forgot about. I was sifting through my scanned sketches and decided to finish it. I'm glad I did!
Baby Bowser is so cute, dechu <3
This one came about because, in my anticipation of the new Lufia game coming out this October, I've been replaying Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. Yes I know the new one is based on Rise of the Sinistrals, but I wanted to play FOD. Fuuuu. This one came out really well. The character designs are based on the new ones used to promote 2009's FOD cell phone re-release (only in Japan, siiiigh, I'd love Lufia 1 on my iPhone). I made a few changes, though... namely, the hero lacks that stupid bare midriff.
(Also I made Jerin's boobs smaller. Considering what a big deal they make of how Jerin looks like a kid, the fact that the new art has Jerin's boobs bigger than Lufia's really makes no sense to me.)
Well anyway, that's all. Or not really, there's more on my DA, but them's the ones that are recent and that I'm really happy with. So yeah!
I've been working on a new website, too, but that's not been going well... my CSS is okay, but I can't come up with a good look. Hummmm. Also I've been going back on my DA and watermarking a lot of old pictures, because they keep getting stolen. I was just alerted to someone who nicked my Avatar drawing and reposted it right on DA. For serious!? On the site I posted it on?! The kicker here is that it took 200+ favorites and several months before someone realized it was stolen and let me know.
I reported it and it's deleted now, but I still can't believe it. Usually when someone steals something of mine they don't get away with it, because they get comments going "Hey, this is Selan's, credit her". It really hurts that this person got away with it for as long as they did.
Anyway, that's all for now. I really need to post more often, so not every post is as long and disorganized as this...
