The Fabled Return!
I lost access to my LJ for a long time. I almost gave up when I finally got a reply regarding access to my account. I'm not a fan of the reset method when a password merely needs an update. I never even realize my email address here wasn't set to one I can access, until I couldn't log in. It took a world of sleuthing to figure out the email associated. And thanks to the LJ gods of new, that email is now up to date! I only had to jump a few hoops to prove it's me - fortunately, I had access to some key entries that proved my ID.
It didn't even occur to me that I might have the occasional comment on a journal entry, since LJ is damn well dead, and going through my entire catalogue while signed into a friend's account (preparing to transfer to another service while still in give-up mode), I discovered I did have a splash of comments here and there. So, I apologize for never replying to anyone. Who knew?!
So, I'm back. I do occasionally use this, and still plan to do so, especially because I no longer have access to my facebook. That one's much harder to break back into, because it relies on random people on your friends list to vouch for you. I don't know a lot of people, and none of them have active facebooks (in fact, prophet60091 had one briefly and it was deleted and purged, as she never signed into it. I imagine mine will meet a similar fate eventually.
