“The very fact that you can ask that question proves that you are.”

Selmac living up to her (his?) reputation as oldest and wisest... awwww. :)

Very nice, and an excellent tag line.

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

I love Jacob and Selmak together. I wanted to capture one little moment of angst for Jacob as a new host and compassion from Selmak as an older, wiser symbiote. So much to process with the blending. I wanted to show how they begain to work it out.

Wonderful! The ultimate 'crawling inside their heads' ficlet. Would be interesting to peek inside and see how their relationship changed and matured as the years progressed. :)

Thanks! It is interesting when you think about how you would learn to live with that extra person in your head. Ever since I wrote it I've been resisting the urge to expand on it.

Now that's an interesting idea! The whole notion of where individuality begins and ends, in a larger sense than control... Very interesting!

We all ask "Who am I?" at different times in our lives. In Jacob's situation it would be the first question asked.

Thanks for the feedback.

I think Selmac's last line to Jacob really does define their relationship. They are as one but they are clearly individuals. I love the respect shown in this story. Very, very nice.

Thank you. If the Tok'ra really are who they say they are, there would have to be that agreement and accommadation between the host and the symbiote. It's like being roommates. :)

I think they'd have to like each other a lot for Jacob to give up coffee for her and for Selmak to want to give her life for him.

Thanks for the feedback.
