Yeah! DW Importing Successful!

I have successfully completed the importation of my active LJ userpics and my friends security settings - I think. I can see the userpics but am not sure about the Friends settings. I'll have to play with that for a bit this afternoon.

For the time being, I've decided not to import all of my entries from LJ. This is a new beginning for me and so ( Read more... )

Well in the J/D fandom it's because of a dissatisfaction with the way lj ran a couple of "purges" (I think).....I don't really know much about it.....I think there's been some general dissatisfaction with LJ since it's new owners took over too....and something new and shiny always attracts interest doesn't it?...*winks*

I'm still not sure how much time I'll spend on there....I'm going purely wherever J/D goes...if it moves totally to DW then I'll be there for that...but I won't stop blogging on LJ...got too many people on my flist who are here and not in the Slash Fandom....

The difference is DW is run by (used to be) LJ people & users and they want to make DW the way LJ used to be & better. IMO, LJ is more and more commercial these days (it is a business afterall) and more hiccups and fandom wanks.

Why change ? I like the person who create DW & basically I want to support them. they make everything easier (once you get used to it LOL!) and no ads for the free-acct.

For some of the same reasons a lot of us transfered from GW to LJ. The main difference for me is no more of these @#$% ads!!! I hate the ads with a passion. Also, there have been a number of LJ glitches which irritated me no end and still do. So, I'm willing to give it a shot.
