omg, football season is nearly here! isn't it great? :) which leads me to a cat story. I swear, it's related. ;)

so Friday I was at the local animal supply store to get guinea food, and I decided to get the cats a new toy. the younger ones love to carry things around, and given the right toy, Bilius will even fetch. I decided to get them toy stuffed mice. they have very large stuffed mice (that used to be mine, long story). but the new toys were about the size of real-ish mouse, and I wanted to get not-natural colors so it wouldn't be freaky when they ran by with them in their mouths.

since football is back very soon, and UofL vs UK is this coming Sunday, I decided to get a red mouse and a blue mouse. I would let my cats predict the outcome of the big state football rivalry! yeeha!

I got the red mouse and the blue mouse, took them home, and turned my cats loose with them. in less than 5 minutes, the blue mouse was tail-less! aha! UofL will trounce UK, I thought! the blue mouse is getting destroyed! but wait, by Sunday night the red mouse was missing! what? no! what happened to my UofL! it's Tuesday night and I finally found the red mouse under the fridge.

so how to interpret my cats’ prediction... well, the blue mouse is mutilated, and the red mouse was 'lost'. does that mean UK will get hurt but my beloved UofL will lose? ack! I'm going to have to believe my cats are poor football predictors, 'cause if not then it doesn't sound good for the local teams this weekend. or for my cats' toys. ;)
