Edison finds her presence in his house comforting, though the why is beyond him, and he swears sometimes he hears the faintest echo of lullabies in her voice.

The first night Chaz comes home covered in blood because he was too tired to shower at work, he sees something brittle in her eyes snap.
#28 - Sickness
This is a sickness, a sickness of fear and trepidation that swells and grows as her boxes fill.
#29 - Melody
At the beginning, their bodies are in accord, they move and sing and set fires to dark places with their skin and flesh, but she senses that something is changing between them when he forgets himself and leaves bruises on her wrists.
#30 - Star
Adam thinks this is the stupidest idea ever, does not hesitate to say so, and for once she has something to say; "When was the last time you looked up at the stars?"
#31 - Home
Alessandra has a habit of welcoming him home whenever he walks through the door and Adam hates her in the beginning for reminding him of what he never had.
#32 - Confusion
When they go to bed that first night, Edison loses his glasses in the chaos and his face as he searches for them the next morning is priceless.
#33 - Fear
Adam knows she is trying to keep her promise, but after a week of no phone calls, he gives up hope; he is good at that.
#34 - Thunder
Chaz thinks things between them would be amazing, like the roar of thunder that follows inconsequential lightening - only there is never any progress and it makes him feel like a flash of lightening that has gone unfulfilled.

She doesn't know how to explain it to the boy, but she wants to believe in what they have, because even she knows it is precious.
# 36 - Market
Adam is torn between scorn and laughter - "Look, this box comes with a prize on the bottom!"
#37 - Technology
Modern day advances are a wonderful thing as Adam discovers, but of course she stumbles through this miraculous discovery with her customary wailing.
#38 - Gift
She is a splash of color in his dull, boring life, and so he struggles with the idea of finally wanting something.
#39 - Smile
It takes the boy three weeks to crack his first smile, and damnit, she feels good about it.
#40 - Innocence
He finds Sandra's innocence to be a beautiful and brilliant thing, like a pane of stained glass, and just as breakable.
#41 - Completion
It has been months and months of work, so she doesn't really expect it anymore, until the day she says her nth "Welcome Home," and Adam is arranging apples in a fruit bowl, that she sees it in his face - the stunning realization that they are complete together.
#42 - Clouds
"That one kind of looks like a bunny rabbit," she murmurs and Chaz nods noncommittally while Adam sniggers.
#43 - Sky
Each and every time she manages to convince him to go to that damned park, he feels like the sky must be falling on him because he, the Edisonator, would never let himself be swayed by a mere country bumpkin.
#44 - Heaven
Edison touches her like he doesn't really believe that she is there, like he doesn't want to stop because she might fly away, and Alessandra feels like this must be Heaven.
#45 - Hell
"Where have you been?" he asks, and things start to go down hill after that question.
#46 - Sun
His hair glimmers with glints of red and gold where the sun strikes it, so for a minute she is taken by how different he is in this moment.
#47 - Moon
In the silver light of the moon, her tears sparkle and the plum flowers painted onto her skin look almost artistic.
#48 - Waves
Adam takes great joy in shoving Chaz into the water and watching the man flounder in the coming tides; the sand is warm and soft between his toes and his chest is bursting with a novel warmth.
#49 - Hair
Alessandra puts her hair up for the way he smiles, but secretly she prefers to leave it down.
#50 - Supernova
He sees fireworks exploding on the back of his eyelids when she cries his name and he thinks she is beautiful when she tosses back her hair and closes her eyes.
