My Hekate Ritual

I performed my ritual to Hekate last Sunday (5/20).  As I was writing it, I was moved to change a few fairly general things, like the meditation questions, to more specific ones, so I did.  Then I went out into my new garden; it was a beautiful day, and just felt like the RIGHT time to do this.  (I didn't even know about the solar eclipse until the night before.)  I made my offerings at the foot of the crabapple tree, which I also consider to be my personal World Tree, told Hekate what I wanted to do, then sat on the bench to meditate.

As soon as I began meditating, I heard a plane flying over. I immediately got the impression I should see what direction it was flying, so I opened my eyes and checked; almost directly North. Closed my eyes again, and ANOTHER plane flew over, this one even closer to North. I wondered, What's north of here? NorCal, Oregon, Washington... Alaska, Canada. I scratched the last two, too far away. Then I thought, What's available to me in the North? And there was my question, with places to search for the answer. I continued waiting to see if anything else came up. Finally, I heard birds screeching, and opened my eyes to see two dark birds harrying a hawk, and guess which way they were all flying??? Closed my eyes again, but my thoughts would no longer focus, which to me is the signal that my meditation is finished, so I thanked Hekate and the Elements, and opened the Circle.

The next day when I went out to my garden, I found a dove feather in the spot where I had left my offering. Since the offering was gone, not even a crumb left, I got the message that Someone had accepted it. So my quest now begins to search for what I can find job/career wise, in the North.

career, ritual, deities, garden, meditation, job
