Is this...Is this on? Oh, dear, I think that's the--
[And here, there are some sounds of fiddling with the buttons, until a loud, LOUD screech of interference goes across the journals. Suddenly, it comes back to normal.]
Hello, people of the Silvana? I am Ramza Ruglia, your new Quartermaster, as of today. It is a pleasure to meet all of you.

The pleasure's all mine~♥ If you don't mind my asking, what brings you to the Silvana? These are troubled times for airship travel, after all.

I am a traveler from Erealia; I merely wish to see the world, and have new experiences. And with the world being as it is, there must be something I can do, even if it is something as simple as being an officer aboard an air vessel.

Just be sure you stay out of the engine room. It's cursed, you know.

...Cursed? How so?

Oh, why, our engine has a bad habit of devouring people. And it seems there was some unpleasentness between our Captain and our Head Mechanic which resulted in the latter's termination of employment.

...Devour...
I...I will keep that information in mind. Thank you.

Oh yes. It's eaten two people so far. They had to clean out the remenants with a mop. You might want to be careful not to get too close.
You're quite welcome~♥

...I...
I see. Eaten. Yes.
[Though despite being rather innocent, Ramza doesn't quite believe this. Stories of engine rooms eating people sounds too much like something used to intimidate new people...so he might just have to go there and see for himself >:|]

Well I suppose 'eaten' might be an exaggeration, but considering the appetite of the Claudia Drive it sometimes seems that way. You can probably ask Agrais or one of the other Quatermasters for the details.
[Despite Gin's rather creative spin on the story, he's not actually exaggerating too much. One of the ship's navigators as well as a mechanic have 'fallen' into the engine. Ever since the latter happened the Engine room has been especially noisy, as though there's an unhappy ghost floating around in there~]

I am certain that their reasons are, despite what you say, much less severe than you think. And I have not found any unaccomodating so far, as you say, but I thank you for the warning.
I shall, then.
[All the more amusing when Ramza goes to investigate? 8D]
