the movie showgirls was on the other night - so i watched it b/c i had never seen it plus i heard it was terrible - so OF COURSE i had to watch it. so bad. elizabeth berkley was just AWFUL! she was either over-acting or under-acting. and i haven't seen much of gina gershon's work but she sucked in this too. and why did special agent dale cooper (aka kyle maclachlan) agree to do this movie? no no no. makes me sad. if someone un-crappy had played elizabeth berkley's role, would the movie have been better? probably not. i think i read somewhere way back when that the script didn't translate to film well - aka it was crap. oh well, i asked for it.
a movie i want to see that i know will be worthwhile is hot fuzz - same dudes that did shaun of the dead. SHAUN! of course, this would require me sending my netflix DVDs back at some point and apparently this act requires too much coordination on my part. you can do it!
