working PT from home for this small real estate brokerage office, i've come across some real weirdos - but then some of the agents are pretty cool so thank goodness for that. mind you, i've only met a few of the agents in person - since we don't really work out of an office, i mostly communicate with agents via email - which is great. the very worst thus far was this dude whose emails were typed in ALL CAPS - and in this case, i don't think it was b/c he didn't know better but rather that he was sort of email-screaming b/c he's a psycho. he'd be all threatening and condescending and then at the very end write "PS let's get along OK." my favorite was when he emailed me back saying "stop harassing us" b/c i had emailed him requesting clarification re: his last email to me - b/c writing "please send this form to the state for me ok no big deal thanks" apparently is adequate information to perform the task as requested. and yes, he'd write stuff like "ok no big deal just do your job" etc. ha ha! FREAK! needless to say, on his first transaction with us, the selling agent he had been working with lodged a complaint about how difficult it was to work with this guy as he was extremely hostile - and provided the chain of email correspondence between himself and crazy agent. "don't play games i know how things are done i will not hesitate to pursue this in court ok so let's just get along and make this easy for both parties ok thanks." something like that. ha ha! and i'd like to say we terminated him but he actually beat us to the punch and requested we terminate his license with us once he saw that this selling agent had contacted us - his reasoning being that we did not provide him the level of service he expects from a brokerage. what an awesome a-hole. but anyhoo - today, an agent told me that if i were to leave this office mgr position, it would be "a loss to [him] as an agent." awww. hehe. besides the learning curve re: real estate forms, quickbooks, taxes, licenses, etc., this job is really cake and isn't very time-consuming - but it's still nice to be acknowledged :)
