so i've learned my lesson re: ordering photo cards for christmas online - either order them in mid-november or order them from costco.com for in-store pick-up to avoid any shipping costs. i decided to go w/ this site vistaprint.com b/c they had neat holiday photo card templates and low prices - but then get to check-out only to find that i have to pay $8.95 for shipping to get the cards here by 12/19 - lame! so then i look at costco.com's photo center - we were just there today and i had noticed their in-store ad for christmas photo cards. bryan didn't really like their template designs (i swear - he gets opinionated about the most random things) and said just pay the shipping for the other site, it's fine. for the heck of it, i look up coupon codes for this vistaprint.com site and find several that advertise 50% off (already indicated on site) plus FREE 7 day shipping - yay! click the link - there's no field for coupon - submit order - shipping was not deducted from the total - lame! ok so whatever. but then i'm sort of annoyed and i call their customer service number - the first attempt is answered by an indian sounding fellow who asks for my order # - and then proceeds to talk to someone else in a foreign language for like two minutes. i'm like helloooooooo. and he hangs up. so i call a second time - this time they don't even bother to pretend to help me - *click*. so now it's not the fact that the free ship coupon didn't work that is bothering me - it's the fact that i'm giving ANY money to a vendor w/ such suck-ass customer service. i scour the site for an email address - none. finally get my order confirmation email - and of course at the bottom it reads do not reply to this message as this is an unmonitored email account blah blah. oh - the email also indicated that receiving this confirmation means that the order has been processed and can not be cancelled. haha! i love these bastards - so brilliant. they got me good, man. i better just get my freakin' cards before 12/19 and they better look decent. or what?! why - i'm gonna call their customer service line and get hung up on - that's what! stupid bastards.

ok - so that's my rant for the day. jeesh.
