Forgetful and Irresponsible!

Okay, so I totally have the crummiest notes from this past week. On top of that, I’m having the hardest time remembering any of the things I didn’t write about. If we had some kind of special moment worth writing about that I forget, forgive me please.

Monday’s relevant bits included the viewing a good portion of the King of Hearts in Critical Thinking. The King of Hearts is a movie from the 60s about WWI regarding counterculture. It was really funny, and sort of makes me wish I was crazy or maybe a hippie. Sort of.

Tuesday was the day before Emily’s birthday and Zach and I were going to go eat with her. No eating actually went down, but we walked and talked for a long while. We also adventured down into the dungeon below Marshall Fields. It’s not that bad, but then again I wasn’t eating/drinking down there this time. Super yuck!

3D Design was pretty fun, thinking up horrible (awesome) ideas for a band shell or fountain. Babies, broken glass, chain saws, starved sharks, nuclear waste? All necessary elements for a fountain. I ended up doing a band shell that floats on the Lake of the Isles that resembles a whale.

Ooh, one of my notes says “gangsta.”

Wednesday was the big AIGA meeting I was waiting for, which wasn’t completely terrible. We had nice signs, at least. Thanks Rachel and Melissa for the color prints, those rocked pretty hard.

Kyle bummed along with me and I ended up driving him home. Taking 65 is just completely retarded. I hate you, 65. University was dead, and that’s where he lived off, but we took 65. Ah well. Wait, now I understand the “gangsta” note- Kyle borrowed me Saint’s Row for 360. I gatted the elderly while smoking blunts and chugging 40s. It’s like GTA on crack.

Thursday, my 3D Design whale band shell idea came to fruition. It became multipurpose when I realized I could wear it as some kind of wristlet / hand-cannon. This caused quite a mess in the skyway when it claimed Jason’s Coke as a victim. Sorry Jason, and sorry skyway. Jason had it coming for hitting me in the crotch with a miniature Twix bar.

Josh hung out a lot of the weekend, bringing all sorts of companies and making all sorts of trips in the heat. The heat sucked. The heat’s still here.

Some time this weekend, I hung out with Ross for a bit. We were later joined by Chase and Cody who accompanied us to Culver’s and Showplace for some Clerks II action. With a much smaller audience, I felt my laughter was especially loud and obnoxious. They enjoyed it, I think. We didn’t stay for Kevin Smith’s first 10,000 MySpace friends this time, fortunately.

Last night I had two weird dreams. It’s especially weird since I don’t normally remember my dreams. The one involved my mom walking into our garage and commenting on there being a bunch of moles in the garage. I put my foot in one of my shoes to find that there was a MOLE IN IT. It attached itself to the ball of my foot and I was freaking out. That’s probably why I woke up freaking out.

Now it’s Monday and I’m waiting for Design History so Doug can see what little work I’ve done on my project that’s due Wednesday, the project I’m not working on to write this. Oh well!

Design History now over, I’ve been reminded that we don’t have school this Wednesday. The project was pushed back not to Monday, but to next Wednesday! While my initial thought was something like “AWESOME, I AM TOTALLY FREE FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS!”

Wrong! I’m busy from this Wednesday to next Wednesday and beyond! I need to work on that, Electronic Design, and whatever else comes my way. Eh, it’s not too bad, though. Relatively easy stuff, and a lot of other fun stuff to do in the meantime.

P.S. The new Mountain Goats music video for “Woke Up New” is really awesome and I know only one of you cares.
