A while’s past since my quarter ended. I left off on Monday, where I have no idea how the night went.
Tuesday brought the end of Advanced Typography, where I had one fourth of my final project completed. No worries, I ended up finishing it Wednesday and hopefully getting credit for it. I also had lunch with Zach and his roommate, where I learned a lot about Zach I did not know. Illustration was quick and relatively painless.
Back at home I was hungry. My dad was thirsty, and I ended up driving his towncar to Savoy’s in St. Paul. This was acclaimed to be one of the best places for pizza, but I was reeeally unimpressed. They screwed up my dad and his buddy’s pizza, and burnt mine, recooking it, making me wait another 10-15 minutes after they started on their pizza. It wasn’t that great, either.
After dinner, I went to Jason’s and hung out with him and Kopy. We watched funny things for a while before going home.
Wednesday was the big day, where we would be watching our Intro to Video final projects. The other groups did a really good job filming and editing, I was really surprised.
The Law & Communication Arts test, supposedly taking most people an hour and a half, took about twenty minutes for a bunch of us. It felt good to be done with the quarter, as I didn’t have to come in to either of my Thursday. Rad!
That night, I tagged along with Jason back to his house for a bit. We hung out for a short while before Josh came around (after not listening to directions) to pick me up. We found ourselves at Perkins in no time.
I think the show Old Dracula was on Encore Mystery, which wasn’t as funny as Monster Man, so Josh ended up taking off eventually. I was feeling a little unwell off Perkins, still, and feared I would get sick at the beginning of break. Illness was far from the worst of what was to come.
I woke up Thursday and my dad knocked on my door. He told my aunt had passed away that night. I was in shock. Not much later, we were headed up north to meet my mom, who had left earlier that morning. Most people took this really rough. She was forty five with four children.
Jump forward to Saturday morning, where I returned home with my mom and sister. Josh wanted to hang out, so we did. Mom wanted me to not travel too far from home, so a visit to the bank and the Hallmark store was all I ended up doing. Josh, my mom and I all had Applebees that night, which was mighty tasty.
Josh and I also played a lot of Black and watched our movie for his first time seeing the final product. Breanne and Emily were there for that short bit. I think 90% of the enjoyment and humor is derived from the experience and not the final product.
Now that their interruption was over, we continued playing our video games until we could not play video games anymore. My eyes were red like some kind of exhausted fire.
Today is Sunday and I’m really tired.
