Just finished watching Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 and it's a big slide down imo. The first 2 episodes were good, handling the lost of Shiro and how the lions got reassigned actually makes sense plotwise. But man Episode 4, I have never yelled at anything I was watching as much as I did this episode! Allura spent the previous one realizing and accepting that she wasn't in charge as a paladin but immediately starts ordering them around because there might be more Alteans alive, she didn't even pull rank. I swear I said "Somebody smack her!" every minute of that episode. The Galra-cloning-Shiro subplot they've set up doesn't make sense yet and the origin story of Voltron was as cheesy as pizza.
About the only good thing is Lotor's got actual story to him. The 80's show he was a figurehead but here he's got plans and a personal guard that are loyal to him first. If only they didn't follow the trope and make them all female.
