Hwee, I got an A+ for my English Lit assignment! My first take-home essay! "Sensitive and focused response"! There's hope after all!

I mean, sure, it's only 700 words and nothing compared to 3500 or 10000-word essays, but... It's a start. ^_^_^_^

Yesterday was also the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. I don't remember much about the true roots of this celebration (with the exception of the legend of Chang-Er). I just know it means eating mooncakes... MMM. 1000 calories of pure awesome. :D :D :D A group of us hiked up Kent Ridge Park (yes, "hiked", I reserve the right to use that word even though there was no actual hill involved, because it was a really long uphill walk), sat on newspapers spread out on grass, ate mooncakes, played sparklers and ate more mooncakes.

Then it was Operation Birthday. Three of us snuck into Friend M's hostel, got lost searching for her room (I had to call yet another friend to get the exact floor and number), made a silly phone call to M to make sure she was IN her room when we knocked (that would've made more sense to do BEFORE we snuck out but... we're new at this), and surprised her with chocolate cake. Yummmm, cake~ And we just stayed in her room until 2AM to chat. When we managed to depress ourselves by talking about assignments and test results, we all congregated around her laptop to watch South Park on YouTube. It was quite therapeutic.

Yayyyyy, South Park~

*returns to daily grind of playing catch-up with required readings*

birthday, mooncakes, feeling good, nus, seasons greetings
