I'm a feminist. Have been for decades. Let me tell you, the younger ones are usually the ones stomping their feet and claiming silly things like chair pulls are sexist.

Yes, there's crap loads of sexism out there; in government, religions, housing, medical, employment, etc etc etc. *sigh*

The real battle is to raise your own consciousness of what is sexist and what isn't, not to lay claim to sexism to make a loud noise. Oh sure, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, it also annoys the living shit out of the driver. XD

Just this week I, an old fat feminist broad had two men offer me "help". One to open a door, which I graciously accepted with a "thank you sir" and the other to take my grocery cart back up to the store which, while I refused, I did thank him. Why? Because both these men offered something they were probably taught at their mother's knees to do, and yet they did not HAVE to. I figure, at my age, I'm woman enough to accept with grace what is offered should I want it; and also woman enough to accept that sometimes guys, or society have their heads firmly where I don't want to look. And I'm mature enough to know when and where to make a demand that will be paid attention to. Carts and chairs are no big deal. XD

Oh and one amusing note: I've been in male environments - yes, they trash talk something fierce! But WOMEN are far, far worse let me tell you! Guys are not the only potty mouths out there! LOL

I'm sorry some young, mindless person has really yanked your panties. I'm sure, in time, her head will be removed from her ass and she'll realize there's a right way and a wrong way to effect changes and the way she's doing it is not helpful.

(((hugs you)))
