See Lucy RUN! (or crawl, but one day she might run....and ....)
we'll be ready.. despite having two pairs of shoes on the way (sandals and a pair for a long time in the future, so really they don't count), i ordered her these:

i had to spend 60 dollars to get free shipping, so i did exactly that and got 3 pairs of very cute shoes. if they don't work out i'll resell them OR i'll give them as very cute gifts. rationalize, rationalize, rationalize!!!

i've been contemplating getting her a little chair and this was just too cute with free shipping to boot... ugh. i have an illness. i'm going to see if she likes it and if she doesn't take to it in a preciouslycuteohmygoodness sorta way, i'll return it to the store and it will be like it never happened. :) i'm hoping we can set it up next to a big basket of books in the kitchen and it will look sweet and be a favorite spot that occupies my child while i make fabulous dinners. is this too much to ask?
i spent all day today making lasagna and shortbread three ways (ginger white pepper, kahlua dark chocolate & grandmarnier/orange peel) and i'm pretty sure it traumatized my child to not get to play with me very much since i was busy grocery shopping then cooking. she did get to "help" with the shortbread. by "help" i mean she insisted i hold her while adding the flour to the brown sugar/butter thereby "helping" me to create a huge floury mess! :) she was rewarded with a blob of cookie dough (no eggs thank you very much) and liked it very much :)
the highlight of my day was a run-in in the target baby section with some strangers that just found out that they were having a girl and were over the moon about it :) it saved me from getting anything at target, but when i saw them at kohl's i couldn't be saved and lucy got some pjs for next valentine day. i'm glad she is so little because i'm sure they'll fit :) there is NO WAY my child will be over 30 pounds!
okay, i must go to bed so i don't spend any more money :) plus we're having margie tomorrow! and i have to wake up in the morning and pick up our bread !!!!
