Summary: NEVER EVER attack a Cucco
"Think that chicken is edible?"
“But it’s so cute!”
“We have to eat Megan.”
"I believe so. Artemis can you shoot it?"
"Yeah, no problem."
Artemis drew back her bow and let the arrow fly. Before it could hit the bird, a birdarang came flying out from nowhere. Robin appeared from behind the archer.
“ARE YOU CRAZY!?” he shouted. “Don’t kill THAT thing!”
Kaldur frowned. “Robin, we need to eat. It is a food source.”
Robin sighed. “Yes, but attack anything but THAT bird!”
“What’s going on?” Wally appeared with a bunch of seeds in his hand.
“They were about to attack a Cucco.”
Wally dropped the seeds he was holding. He stared at his teammates in shock. “GUYS! Don’t EVER attack the Cucco!!”
“What is so wrong about attacking the Cucco?” Artemis snapped.
Before Wally or Robin could answer her, Superboy interrupted them, “I got it!”
In his hands was an angry Cucco. Both Wally and Robin paled several shades. “Supey,” Robin said. “Put the bird down and back away from it slowly.”
Superboy looked at them as if they had gone crazy. “Just do it, Superboy,” Wally instructed with as much seriousness he could muster.
The sound of crowing began to grow. Superboy put the Cucco onto the ground.
“Okay,” Robin said, pushing his teammates further and further away from the Cucco as Wally zipped over to Superboy and pulled him away from the bird. In the distance Megan saw a white cloud moving towards them. The crowing grew even louder.
“NOW RUN!”
