Hearth Holds Hope
I just have to post my presentation for the class, and I'm DONE for the semester! Three weeks off!! I'd dance for joy, but my coordination is notoriously nonfunctioning until around 10am, so I'll give it a miss.
When drubear got home, we discussed more ideas/thoughts about the Scholars Guild. I see where Chris is going, and I think his ideas, while probably a little radical for the other Guild members, would kick the Guild into gear. He and Jeremy have been discussing it in depth, and I'm starting to see that one person seems to be the source of a LOT of the current problems. How these do-nothings keep getting elected isn't the mystery - usually they are the only ones who are willing to run for office. In this case, though, this person is also holding office in a few other Guilds and committees. Why ADF doesn't have a limit on officerships being held by the same person I don't know. It's sort of like the inactive Guilds rule proposed a few times in the last year, I suppose. I guess people are afraid of the backlash?
Business cards should arrive today, and I'm excited to see them. I've never used this printer, but saw some of their work from other designers. If the order comes through without problem, I can add them to the Rolodex. Fingers crossed.
We're having an inspector walk through this morning...again. According to the landlush, it'll be just this inspection then the walk-through at closing, then he's out of our hair for good. A happiness to be sure.
