And another thing..
Well, not quite my rant yet. I don't really have the time or mindset to get started on it.
But today was really weird and deserved it's own post. I got to spend the day listening to bigshots in the game industry speak, and even got to hang out with a few of them, which was REALLY cool. They're all great guys, 'cept Chris Taylor has a bit of a perverted mind. It's all in good fun, though, he's always telling jokes and they just get a bit out of hand. Among who I saw today: Chris Taylor, David Wessman, Steve Snow, John Bartkiw, and the big surprise of the day was Ed Fries. It was such an amazing and surreal experience being around them all, and really helps to enforce my will to get into the industry and start coding. (Also nice of Chris to show us a preview of Dungeon Siege II, but I'm not allowed to say anything about it.)
Time for something completely unrelated.. Tomorrow morning, by the time I've started my Blockbuster training, Mickey is moving out. He's decided he can't cut it in this town and would rather go into fire prevention security stuff than try to stick with the whole computer industry. Best of luck to him, it's his decision, and I have no problem with it as long as he pays his rent until the end of the lease or until we find a new roommate. Right.. anyway, I think I'm going to sleep soon.
