This blog is 100% pity. Pure. Unadulterated. Uncensored. Pity.
This is no cold ... this is full blown strep throat. When the doctor examined me yesterday, she took one look in my mouth, gasped, and immediately declared that I have strep. No need for a closer examination. No need for a strep test. It's pretty far gone.
I have been this sick only once before in my entire life ... and it was strep the first time. How sick am I? Besides swallowing razor blades and feeling aches and pains in muscles that I didn't even know I had, I'm lightheaded, dizzy and nauseous. Of course, the lightheadedness, dizziness, and nausea could be from the fact that I haven't been eating much -- it's too painful -- and almost all of what I try to eat comes back up anyway. My system is so deprived of everything right now, it's a wonder I'm not floating.
I actually took the day off from work because I am in no condition to teach anything to anybody at the moment. Well, and the doctor said that I need to isolate myself from others since I'm still contagious.
Now that I'm on antibiotics and much-needed pain meds, I have one priority on my agenda: sleep. And later, eat.
