Onepercentres

Whenever I make a post here I feel like I take a load off of my shoulders, whether the posted content has anything to do with it or not. Here goes:

I actually can't remember how I started listening to Onepercentres but for some reason had their "Currently" album on my computer since ever since. Anyway, they play really great power pop with some well composed and very melodic guitar hooks in there. The musicians just work well with each other in every sense. I can't offer very concrete opinions on their sound, though, because I always seem to get obsessed with the title track of each album and find it hard to get back into the other songs on there. A very, very, bad habit, I know. >_<

This one is off their Platinum Bundle album released a little while back. This was the first time I had actually "seen" the band and I had no idea they had any female members. Their drummer surprised me the most, in that I never really see many female drummers play like she does. Not to be sexist or anything like that, but for some reason there was always an air of awkwardness when I saw some girls drum. Maybe its because I'm just not accustomed to seeing it? Anyway, when the drummer for Onepercentres jammed in the video I was very impressed. She not only played well and flawlessly but she didn't have that odd look at all. So I respect her a lot for that. Sadly their bassist left the band and they are now seeking out applicants for a new bassist. Best wishes to them for that, certainly gives me more time to catch up with their stuff. Sadly, Ignorance of the World ends way too fast for my liking, so I usually end up listening to it quite a few times before I'm satisfied. I mean really, it's less than three minutes!

Other than that, I leave in less than a week. It still hasn't quite hit me yet but I'm not nearly as excited as I should be(or not? hmm). Whatever though, I don't want to dwell too much on it at the moment.
