I am seriously annoyed at this whole Facebook-Twitter-link thing. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't put the "cross-post" button so close to the ordinary "post" button.
Gah.
If you plan to crosspost something from one of my entries that was friends-locked, please ask me first. If you do it by accident, please a)delete the cross-post, and b)let me know it happened. I understand it's way too easy to do - I've already almost done it twice, and I just discovered the new function about twenty minutes ago. But it is important to me to know what has been posted online about me, for personal and professional reasons.
Meanwhile, I'm going to ask that people with similar policies please be aware that I may be taking a longer time to post things. I'm no longer going to be writing comments in LJ, but instead will be writing them in Word and pasting them to LJ, to ensure that I'm not distracted by anything but the posting process, so I can avoid as many accidents as possible.
I plan to never deliberately use this function for comments. If you discover I have accidentally done so, either on a public entry or a friends-locked entry, please let me know so I can remove it. If I cross-post an actual entry of my own, I will indicate as such.
