So I've mentioned before that I'm in the process of collecting every issue of Hellblazer for a marathon reading when #240 comes out.
I now have almost all of them. I have discovered in a moment of stupid that I'm missing some of the really recent issues, which pisses me off, because that means I have to spend more money on the single worst arc of Hellblazer in the 20-year history of the comic, and the only arc that ever made me seriously consider quitting the series. DAMMIT!
Meanwhile, DC/Vertigo has announced that they're putting out an OGN (Original Graphic Novel, for those who haven't encountered this phenomenon before) by the original writer of the series, Jamie Delano. This should be interesting.
As of issue #234, the
new writer continues to be amazing, easily one of the best writers the series has ever had. The link, btw, goes to the On The Ledge column he wrote about John Constantine, in which he summarizes his views on the character. He has thus far lived up to everything he set out to do in that column.
