So we have now commenced the living-out-of-boxes phase of this whole debacle, and have boarded the dog, as requested, and at considerable expense and inconvenience.

Verizon just called the rental office to reschedule - they may not even make it this week. We may have to board the dog next week too. They'll be getting back to us "eventually," in their own words.
