Made it through first quarter.
I submitted the last of my first quarter grades on Friday.
I think I actually like teaching both high school and college classes. They're very different. I could never leave high school teaching for college teaching, I think, at least not without some really spectacular incentive.
It is, of course, really tiring - I essentially work from 7am to 7pm, plus drive times, four days a week, and from 7am to 4pm on Fridays. But the financial security that has come with it has been really great, and I really love what I do.
My one question had been, how long could I keep it up? And so far, so good - one quarter down, three to go.
And hey, my classes at the university are popular enough that they're having to open up new sections of the subsequent courses, because there's a higher retention rate than in a long time.
