I am also a total dork for fine writing instruments, but unfortunately I can't use fountain pens due to the state of my wrists and hands - I don't hold a pen the same way twice, and the result is that fountain pen nibs hate me. Which is a shame, 'cause I love them.
But I can easily settle for rollerball pens. And for a long time, I have wanted to treat myself to a high-quality red pen for grading at school.
