Ordinary
It was an ordinary night.
As normal as a night can be for someone who was told that he was going to destroy worlds.
Tsukasa had said something arrogant indignantly, Natsumi had used his infamous waraitsubo, and Yuusuke had doubled over with laughter--pointing at Tsukasa which made the owner of Dekadriver pout even more.
And then Hikari-jiichan came in to say that dinner was ready, with Kivaala hovering above his left shoulder. Yuusuke and Natsumi commented about Kivaala's new lipstick--pink this time--while following Hikari-jiichan to the dining room.
On the doorway, Yuusuke turned to see Tsukasa still standing by the window. "Coming?"
Tsukasa's gaze was somewhere outside the window. "Aa. Later."
Yuusuke let his gaze linger at Tsukasa for a while, then shrugged and left. "Don't blame us if you don't get the good stuffs."
It made Tsukasa turn, but not enough to make him follow the others. He stood with his back against the window, listening to the last steps descending the stairs dissapear into the night.
There was a dangerous glint in his eyes when he muttered, "Stop hiding. I know you're there."
A light chuckle. And he found someone sitting on the window ledge the next time he turned. The man with familiar khaki jacket and hat grinned his easy going grin, his boot-clad feet swinging slightly off the floor.
"Just as expected of Decade," Kaito Daiki smiled, his eyes appraising.
Tsukasa knitted his eyebrows, taking a few steps towards the window. "What are you doing here?"
Daiki shrugged. "Only want to check on you. Glad to see you're having fun."
"And what does you have anything to do with me?" voice lowering dangerously, Tsukasa leaned closer. He was used to be the one knowing things when he saw them, and the way he knew nothing about this guy really irked him.
Something flashed across Daiki's face, his smile disappearing completely. "You still don't remember, do you?"
And there was also something in his voice. Something akin to longing Tsukasa couldn't catch before Daiki leaned closer and crushed their lips in a kiss.
It was rough and a bit desperate, but the hand on Tsukasa's nape was gentle. And most of all, it felt familiar. Like something ordinary. Tugging at the blank spots in Tsukasa's memory, inviting and calling and rubbing intimate warmth.
Tsukasa closed his eyes, tilting his face and reaching for more. It was there, hanging on the tip of his tongue. Just a little bit closer and he would be able to grasp it...
And suddenly Daiki pulled away.
Tsukasa blinked, startled. He almost groaned to see Daiki standing a few steps away, grinning his familiarly annoying grin, calling out cheerily, "That's it for now!"
"...what the...?!" Tsukasa started.
"You'll get more that that later, Tsukasa," Daiki pointed his left fingers in a shooting motion on Tsukasa's general direction, something like guilt clouding his smile, "When you remember who I am."
