I want to play that too but I'm afraid I'll fail at some point because I can't read the Japanese instructions. :(

You wouldn't "fail". Even if you can't read *any* kanji, some of it is listen/spell out the phrase, figures of speech, word searches, writing, and spelling, so there is still more than enough to put yourself way above average :)
