SPRINNNNNNNNNNNG (will be here eventually)
Well heya, a post that is not whining! Lookit that.
In a good mood today. Probably has to do with the dun being out (WOOOO!), and locking down (despite numerous setbacks!) four straight days of Wii Fit - which is not a lot, yes, but exercising feels good, and I always enjoy messing about with a well-designed piece of software. Alas, Wii Fit has made Brian a sadface, because apparently the Wii Balance Board doesn't work so great for people over 6 feet, which he is by a fair margin as you may or may not know.
But got up, got a call from my landlady saying she and her son-in-law are coming over to work on the backyard to prep it for spring and a possible garden (which brings the thought of green and growing things leaping forth in my brain with accompanying joyful music), and quickly cleaned a bit of the downstairs in case they came inside (they didn't, but it still made me feel all responsible n' stuff). Then made coffee and got Brian up (he had a late night doing game research), and headed outside for chatting and garden-ey planning, as well as a mite of pruning (with my landlady's help) of the hellebores and the hydrangea in front. You snip dead growth and see the promise of green in the stem, and I can look out my front window and see that the neighbor's cherry (? plum?) tree is beginning to put forth the first few soft pink flowers.
Yes, the job hunt continues apace. But I'm happy at this moment because there's soft sunlight, I danced to MIA in the shower, and I feel like I'm finally getting off my fat ass and removing some of that aforementioned fat (by the way - seeing your Mii get fatter as the Body Mass Index line goes up is the most embarrassing and humbling thing a game has ever done to me. I kind of hate it for that, but at least it's motivation. But STOP making my Mii run like a fatasaurus, Wii Fit, goddammit).
