my family is jewish, although we honor my dad's christian heritage by celebrating x-mas with gifts and a big meal. but, y'know, we don't do any of the christmas day religious stuff; it's all about family and togetherness and whatnot.
so it's especially funny that today my grandma, who is possibly the most adorably oblivious person EVER, gave me slippers embroidered with the baby jesus. and proceeded to explain happily how they were a gift sent to her by a charity that she had made a small donation to (kinda like the NPR tote bag?). oh man granny, where is thy mind? I do love you.
