It's one of those days where I can't seem to sit in one place and my mind refuses to anchor itself down to the earth. That's what I get for defying the alarm clock to extremes, two mornings in a row.
The past couple of days I've had the silliest craving for effeminate things. Burgundy sheets, lacy pillows, sweet-smelling creams, and long, shimmering skirts. I'm blaming it on the fact I've been shopping for prom dresses for the past two days. ;) For myself? Nata. But I did have the privledge of prancing around the change rooms in outrageously shiny, flowing skirts I won't be wearing for a very long time.
Went to Metreotown Tuesday afternoon to accompany Bronzejarith on her search for an outfit for her big formal in June. The gown she found for herself looked absolutely amazing on her. It's a long, form-fitting black strapless gown with a straight, white satin ribbon across the top of the chest. No sparkles, no beads or overwhelming pastel colours, just pure elegance.
Then this afternoon I tagged along as my aunt searched for a bathing suit. No bathing suit, but she did buy herself a blue, princess-style prom dress with silver leaves and dragonflies stitched into the corset. It actually looks pretty damn good on her too, and for all of twenty-two bucks. She mentioned something about wearing it to the bar tonight. What a great scene that would be...
